Honeybee Toys is an Australian owned, family company dedicated to providing natural, non-toxic and wooden toys for imaginative and nourishing play to parents, kindergartens and retail stores Australia wide. Our toys are eco friendly, ethically made, non-toxic and chosen with care. Honeybee Toys was born in 2003 from our desire to find toys with integrity for our own children. Toys for imagination, wonder & joy We select toys with forms, colors and textures that nourish the child’s developing senses, and stimulate their thinking and feeling life. We believe that toys made with loving care by the human-hand have a special quality, and assist children to meet the world with respect and a sense of wonder. Environmentally sound, eco friendly toys You will find our site has the largest number of eco friendly toys on-line in Australia. The majority of our wooden eco toys are made from timber sourced from sustainable forests in Europe. We also stock toys made from rubberwood in Thailand, where older trees can no longer be used for tapping rubber. In the case of some of our brands that are made in China, you can be assured that we have thoroughly sort out reputable companies who use timbers from plantation forests (often in New Zealand). Non-toxic natural toys The materials used to make our toys are natural and non-toxic. The majority of our toys are made in Europe not just "designed in Europe". We endeavour at all times to ensure the people making our toys are paid a decent wage. We seek out individuals and companies with ethical policies and who are willing to ask questions about how their products are made. We support fair trade and women working from home in both Brazil and China, assisting them to earn wages while still caring for their children in a nourishing environment.
